WEST WALES OPEN SQUASH

The West Wales Squash Open is bringing World Class squash at the highest level back to Wales on an all glass court for the first time since the British Open in Cardiff in 1997.

The event will take place in Aberystwyth in early 2025 and is split between Plascrug Leisure Centre (Home of Aberystwyth Squash Club) and at the famous Aberystwyth Arts Centre.

The Art Centre will play host to the All Glass Squash Court in the Great Hall and will offer the perfect setting with a capacity crowd of over 1000 seats every day as well as hosting the hospitality of the Open.

Thousands of fans are expected over the 5 day event with an amateur event and other squash events planned around the Open.

We are looking to raise funds to support the event so we need you! Check out our Crowdfunder page - https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/westwalessquashopen

Want to find out more about the event, we have a fantastic pdf deck to show off the event. Download the deck here!!

The West Wales Squash Open offers fantastic opportunities for sponsors and partners great and small to showcase their brand, services or product on a local level, national level or Worldwide.

The event sponsorship and partnership packages can be tailored to your brand needs with use of the venue, stand space, in event branding and digital branding. Want to tailor a package that fits your brand? Just let us know and we can make that work for you.

We expect to attract over 3,000 spectators to the West Wales Squash Open over the 5 days of squash, with fans attending more than one day. Over 700 seats will be available on every day of play creating an amazing buzz around the All Glass Court at the Arts Centre. There will a number of locations in the arena to showcase your brand, not just on the court but off it to, on posters, flyers, digital displays and in the event programme.

Before a ball has been struck we are aiming to promote the event and activation events across West Wales and beyond through digital media and marketing as well as on podcasts and producing video content around the event. We hope to attract local players, non players and anyone in between to see our pop up events and digital marketing, driving more demand to courts in Wales, the UK and further. With linking up with influencers across the UK we want to push the sport to all and not just to squash players.

We will also be taking a custom build mini squash court around towns and cities in Wales to promote the sport, the players, the event and ticket availability while working with local squash clubs in the area to fully connect with the squash community as a whole.

The ‘Mini Squash Court Tour’ allows for extra brand awareness and there are a number of places on the court for your brand to appear as well as on all the volunteer kit that is worn by the coaches.

The court will be part of the legacy of the event and will be used post event to promote the sport of squash in local communities but to also help with promoting the 2025 edition and beyond.

Through pushing the sport and the event to new people more often and with clear messaging we aim to grow the game on and off court, plus with the inclusion of squash in the LA28 Olympics it is key we drive eyeballs to our sport. This event and the marketing around the event will help us do just that, unlocking squash to a new audience and hopefully a younger audience.

We hope you can support our event and bring back top level pro squash to Wales.
